1986: La Villa Turque
The 75th anniversary of EBEL was also celebrated with the acquisition of “La Villa Turque” built by renowned architect Le Corbusier in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The "Turkish Villa" is probably the best-known work of Le Corbusier in La Chaux-de-Fonds and was influenced by his travels in Turkey. The acquisition of this house was a choice dictated by both passion and reason for the Swiss manufacturer. It was a perfect symbol for the brand with the tagline, “The Architects of Time”. EBEL and La Villa Turque were always close, but their history has melded into one since 1986.
