EBEL Forest is Born

EBEL joined Treedom in its effort to regreen the planet. EBEL has committed to planting 200 trees, across Africa and America, which will help in the absorption of 60, 270 kg C02 in ten years.

All the trees planted will build sustainable agroforestry systems which combine the principles of agriculture and forestry. The aim is to return the land to its natural level of cover, production, and biodiversity. Planting forest tree species benefit the local ecosystem, and planting fruit tree species will, in time, provide food and income opportunities for the farmers.

Since the foundation of Treedom in 2010 in Florence, more than 3.000.000 trees have been planted across Africa, South America and Italy. All trees are planted by local farmers and bring environmental, social and financial benefits to their communities. In 2014 Treedom became part of the Certified B Corporations, a network of companies that stand out for high environmental and social performance.
