EBEL 1911 BTR 137 - 100th anniversary - limited edition

A pure design in keeping with the finest works of architecture. A mechanical movement entirely developed by EBEL. Two limited series of 100 and 500 pieces, in pink gold and stainless steel, respectively. The new 1911 BTR 137 chronographs pay vibrant testimony to a brand that is celebrating a century of creativity, passion and expertise.

The beating heart of these timepieces is a chronograph movement endowed with an exceptional level of precision and reliability, duly certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute). The EBEL Caliber 137 movement – developed, assembled and tested in the brand workshops – bears the genetic imprint of EBEL’s history. It symbolizes its legitimate stature in the domain of mechanical watchmaking as well as its expertise in design and aesthetics. Its astonishing finesse imparts a rare, timeless and eminently masculine elegance to the timepieces housing it. Equipped with 322 parts that may be admired through the sapphire crystal case-back, the EBEL Caliber 137 movement serves as a worthy ambassador to all that has been accomplished by EBEL from 1911 to 2011.

While EBEL’s expertise can be gauged by the precision of its chronograph mechanism, its inimitable touch is also apparent in the exquisitely delicate design of its watches. Their undeniably sporting elegance is further enhanced by a dynamic and sophisticated appearance featuring a subtle blend of finesse and sturdiness. Surrounded by applied hour-markers, the harmoniously balanced temporal indications appearing on the dial are arranged within an architecturally inspired stage-setting.

The daring finishes lend an unmistakable aura of charisma and authority to these exceptional models. The mother-of-pearl subdials featuring a snailed central motif make a perfect match with the blue or gold-toned chronograph pointers. The faceted hour and minute hands further accentuate the impression of serene strength emanating from the dials. The steel or pink gold cases are adorned with robust pushers that feature a notched protective covering, while the imposing screw-locked crown is stamped with the EBEL double E, the signature of excellence.

A signature which, for one hundred years, has been steadily making its own indelible imprint on watchmaking history.
