Sports. Contemporary. A dynamic and determined personality. The design of the new EBEL Classic Sport is a worthy heir to the lineage of EBEL Classic watches launched in 1977, and bears eloquent testimony to the quest for excellence pursued by the Architects of Time. Available in men’s and ladies’ versions, EBEL Classic Sport radiates a disconcerting air of casual chic. It appropriates time in a disarmingly natural manner, lending it an understated yet energetic face. The uncompromising aesthetic is based on rigorous geometrical shapes expressed through ideal proportions highlighting the time indications.
The collection’s fully integrated signature wave bracelet has been entirely redesigned to emphasize the sporting character of this model. The smoothly ergonomic and comfortable feel and touch is undisturbed by any sharp edges. Designed in a spirit of pure architectural lines, the new face of EBEL Classic Sport watches remains loyal to the brand heritage. By embodying a blend of modern and classic, sporting and elegant features, the collection has found its very own design identity that conveys a truly unique perspective on time.

In winter, the hours are filled with an infinite variety of pleasures: flying down the snowy slopes, basking in the firelight. A roller-coaster of cool thrills in a red-hot season. An equal measure of frozen landscapes and feverish excitement.

EBEL's cooperation with Miss Ebel (http://www.misspandora.fr/the-lady-is-a-tramp) highlights the Beluga watch in this second photo shoot.
Within the setting of Miss Pandora's unique universe, the Beluga reveals its timeless elegance radiating a blend of old-fashioned charm and contemporary character. Its voluptuous curves echo those of a vintage dress caressed by tumbling cascades of wavy hair.
According to Miss Pandora, "the atmosphere inspired by Beluga is inspired by the past but profoundly modern, just like Corbusier's Villa Turque. The watch speaks volumes in a dialectical debate between strong lines and feminine curves, harmonizing its sensuality with a Forties-style dress, offering a fashionable modern take on a silhouette from a bygone era."

The Architects of Time have called upon one of today's best-known bloggers to interpret the universe of the different lines within its collections.
Since 1911, EBEL has been shaping time and giving it body and soul by designing watches merging functions with emotions. They reflect their era and are the fruit of an interpretation and an inspiration combining architecture and design with watchmaking to etch them in time and enable them to leave their unique imprint.

The entire EBEL team wished to pay tribute to Ben Chodat, who for over 25 years has been responsible for the delightfully curving lines of several items in the collection.
After graduating with a diploma in jewelry from La Chaux-de-Fonds Art School, Ben Chodat began his career as a designer for a number of watchmaking companies, including Zenith, Movado and Longines, before being hired by EBEL in 1981.
Celebrating his 80th birthday on December 1, 2010, this enduringly youthful man is a true visionary. Elegant, modest, funny and quick-witted, for more than 25 years Ben has put his own stamp on product codes belonging to the brand, creating timeless models with soft, sensual lines. With his enormous sensitivity and critical edge, this free, creative spirit draws inspiration from fashion, contemporary design, architecture and jazz!
